Eligible applicants are unrestricted but must include at least two alumni from U.S. Government exchange programs or involve an alumni association. Projects should focus on enhancing U.S.–Nepal relations through innovation, entrepreneurship, and strengthening commercial and institutional partnerships.

This grant is for alumni of U.S. Government exchange programs who are interested in leading projects that align with U.S. priorities in Nepal. Projects should involve at least two alumni or an alumni association and focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and strengthening U.S.–Nepal partnerships.

Likely Disqualifiers

• Proposals not involving at least two exchange alumni or an alumni association
• Projects not aligned with U.S. Embassy priorities
• Lack of focus on U.S.–Nepal commercial ties or shared values
• Proposals exceeding the $35,000 funding limit
• Failure to demonstrate alumni as catalysts for innovation
