Additional Criteria

Eligible applicants include special district governments, which are independent, special-purpose governmental units; public and state institutions of higher education, which are colleges and universities funded by state governments; county governments, which are administrative divisions within a state; other Native American tribal organizations, which are groups recognized as eligible for funding and services from the Bureau of Indian Affairs; nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status, which are organizations that do not have tax-exempt status under the IRS code; city or township governments, which are municipal administrations; private institutions of higher education, which are colleges and universities not funded by the government; and state governments, which are the governing bodies of U.S. states.

This grant is for organizations that can provide professional development in humanities education. Eligible applicants include special district governments, public and state colleges, county governments, Native American tribal organizations, nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status, city or township governments, private colleges, and state governments.
